Europe

Europe, at 10.18 million square kilometers, is the second-smallest continent in the globe. Its borders are the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and Asia to the east. It is fully contained within the Northern Hemisphere. Europe is renowned for its many languages, cultures, and topographies, which include the sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches and the frigid Arctic tundra. Many of the most well-known civilizations in the world, including the ancient Greek and Roman ones, had their beginnings on this continent, which has a long and rich history. Many of the most famous sites in the world, such as the Colosseum in Rome, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the Acropolis in Athens.

Rome, Italy

Michelangelo, an Italian artist, produced the well-known sculpture La Pietà between 1498 and 1499. It shows the crucified body of Jesus Christ in the arms of his mother, Mary. The sculpture is renowned for its amazing detail, compositional beauty, and depth of emotion. One of Michelangelo's most famous works of art, La Pietà is kept in St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

Built in the years 70–80 AD, the Roman Colosseum is a historic amphitheater located in Rome, Italy. Up to 80,000 people might be seen at gladiatorial matches and other public events held there. It is now a well-liked tourist destination and a representation of the magnificence of classical Rome.

Rome's Vatican City is home to the well-known Renaissance basilica St. Peter's Basilica. Constructed on the customary location of Saint Peter's interment, it is renowned for its exquisite Michelangelo dome. Due to its ornate interior decoration of marble and sculptures, the basilica is a well-liked tourist destination and place of pilgrimage.

Croatia, Europe

We went to visit some cities in Croatia, including Dubrovnic, Hvar and Korcula. Here is a photo of me seating in the shore in a beach in Hvar. I saw some of the most beautiful natural beaches, and I most recomend everyone to go visit.

People are not very used to having cars. Most people walk given that there are various islands and it is not very convenient to be driving. Croatia has a diverse landscape that includes plains, lakes, rivers, mountains, making it a popular tourist destination. It is known for its rich history, stunning coastline, and well-persevered medieval cities.

We walked through some of the buildings that were built in the 11th century. The houses were constructed from stone, as well as we saw a lot of churches that were so beautiful. My friend and I took a picture with some men who were dressed as people did back then.

Porto, Portugal

We went to visit the Porto Cathedral, which is a Roman Catholic church located in the historical center of Porto. Dating back to the 12th century, it is among the most significant and ancient religious structures in the city. The cathedral's interior is renowned for its elaborate altars, exquisite azulejo tilework, and breathtaking views of the city from its terrace.

Northwest Portuguese seaside city Porto is well-known for its elegant bridges and port wine manufacturing. The tiny cobblestone alleyways of the historic Ribeira neighborhood meander past the homes and cafes of merchants. The São Francisco Church is renowned for its elaborate gold sculptures and opulent baroque interior. Constructed as a stock exchange in the 19th century, the magnificent Palácio de Bolsa was designed to astonish prospective European investors.

São Bento Train Station is a historic train station, known for its stunning azulejo tilework. Located close to Avenida dos Aliados in the heart of the city, the station was opened in 1916. About 20,000 azulejo tiles, which portray everyday life and transportation themes in addition to important images from Portuguese history, adorn the interior of São Bento. 

Lisboa, Portugal

In Lisboa, my parents and I took a tour in a little car called Tuk Tuk where we got to see the amazing views it had to offer. The city is characterized by its hilly terrain, picturesque streets, and colorful buildings. It is a vibrant and charming city that offers a mix of old-world charm and modern amenities, making it a must-visit destination in Europe.

Here is a picture taken from the inside of the Jeronimos Monastery. It is renowned for its rich and complex design, which includes stunning cloisters, vaulted ceilings, and magnificent stone sculptures. The Church of Santa Maria, where the likes of poet Luís de Camões and explorer Vasco da Gama are buried, is the monastery's main attraction.

The Jerónimos Monastery, or Mosteiro dos Jerónimos in Portuguese, is a magnificent monastery located in the Belém district of Lisbon, Portugal. It is considered one of the most prominent examples of Manueline architecture, a style that flourished during the reign of King Manuel I in the late 15th and early 16th centuries.

London, England

In London we had to of course visit the Big Ben, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. As well as there are many attractions and restaurants near by. Its a great opportunity to take pictures of the Big Ben when inside the London Eye.

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in Wiltshire, England. It consists of a ring of standing stones, each around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing approximately 25 tons. Archaeologists believe that it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC.

Dont miss the chance to visit The British Museum, which it was the first national museum to cover all fields of human knowledge, which it also makes it the world's oldest national public museum. As well if you are looking for something fun to do, go to The London Dungeon, an attraction that has a little of everything.

Spain, Europe

Salamanca is a historic city located in the western part of Spain. It is known for its well-preserved Renaissance architecture and its prestigious university, which was founded in 1218 and is one of the oldest in Europe. All the architecture is really beautiful and definitely recomend you to walk through the streets and have dinner in one of the plazas.

The Liria Palace is a historic palace located in Madrid, Spain. It is the Madrid residence of the Dukes of Alba, one of Spain's oldest and most prominent noble families. It is known for its impressive art collection, which includes paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and other works of art collected by the Alba family over the centuries. The collection includes works by artists such as Goya, Velázquez, Rubens, and Titian, making it one of the most important private art collections in Spain.

We got the chance to visit the winery of Protos. It is known for its high-quality red wines. Protos was one of the pioneering wineries in the Ribera del Duero region, which has since become one of Spain's most prestigious wine-producing areas. The winery's name, "Protos," means "first" in Greek, reflecting its status as one of the first wineries in the region.
